I'm new to firewire interfaces, am looking at the Mackie Onyx i series mixers, so can someone tell me the difference between these specifications?

I assume 16 x 2 means 16 channels into Logic and 2 back out to the mixer?

And what are the advantages of having 16 x 16? Is it worth spending another six hundred bucks to get the 16 x 16?

    Wow. No responses?

Well, nevermind, then. I was able to finally get an answer, and my assumption was correct.

I'm also convinced that the Mackie Onyx i-series is the way to go.
