As a fretted instrument player, I know absolutely nothing about keyboards... but I do know that I want to use the 1973 ARP Solina Strings Ensemble sounds.

My ear isn't good enough to pick out the sound from any presets in the EXS sampler bank. Does anyone here know which patch is the one most closely modeled after this vintage board?

Mahalo o ke kokua! (Thanks for your help!)

    Nevermind, I found it!

Wow, who'da thunk it would be called "String Ensemble" lol!

The reason I didn't recognize it before is that to get the sound I was looking for, you must add a phaser to this otherwise flat and dull waveform. The sound I wanted was made famous in Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver", Styx's "Come Sail Away", Exile's "I Want To Kiss You All Over", etc... among many others.

I could have deleted my post (no responses), but maybe it will be useful to someone in the future.
