Logic 8 Assigning Outputs from Logic 8

STATS: OSX Leopard, Logic 8, MOTU 828 MKII (USB).

QUESTION: How can I assign outputs in Logic to my MOTU 828 MKII?

ISSUE: I can successfully play audio tracks through the MAIN OUTPUTS only, but I would like to assign recorded tracks to the MOTU's individual outs (ie. OUTPUTS 1-8).
Please help with a configuration if you can. Thanks!

On a channelstrip (the thing with the volume, pan, sends and inserts) below the word "I/O" you'll see the INPUT (on top) and OUTPUT (just below) slots. The default is 1/2 or "main" or "stereo". If you need output #3, set it to 3/4 and pan hard left (left for odd, right for even). In Logic 9 you can assign a mono track directly to a mono output (and then the pan knob disappears because there doesn't need to be one).

    Thank you again, Zerobeat.
    Will try that.
