    Hi guys

I have just started doing some tutorials on making beats. The guy in the tutorials uses Cubase and Recycle to chop a loop up.He saves all his individual hits as a patch and loads them into Battery for further manipulation with the onboard envelopes. He then manipulates the envelopes in Battery and the note lengths in his arrange by midi.I know if I load my samples into battery I can use the midi in my arrange to program a pattern but can't adjust the note length. Is there a way around this in Logic using Battery so I can adopt the methods of the ones used in the aforementioned tutorial description?

Another related question is,can I save patches from the Sample Editor?

Thank you for your time,it's greatly appreciated :)
