Is there any e-device out there that will listen to audio and tell me what the chords are?
Not sure about audio apps, but Logic has very decent MIDI based chord recognition built it. You can look right in the transport, or use the Global Chord track. It actually does a very decent job IMHO. But again, that's with MIDI.
Yes, I know, for example, that I can parse audio chords using Melodyne, which will display the score and export as MIDI, which Logic can then parse as chord symbols. I was wondering if there was anything that could do it in one suite
Transcribe does a pretty good job of analysing and displaying chord symbols.
