I'm going to try and revamp my '07 2.16Ghz/3Gb iMac for my desktop recording computer and am thinking of buying a small (60Gb) SSD to record to (for its' stability and lack of noise).

I'm far from a power user so I wouldn't need a large drive to record on as I would just move it off to one of my HDD's once I finished tracking. Does this seem like a sane idea?

Eventually, as my sample library gets bigger, I'd get another to store the samples. For now, I'm only using EZdrummer, and Session Strings - and will buy a piano sampler soon too. Having those on an internal drive should be OK for the time being if I am recording to another drive, no?
