In an answer to a similar question somewhere, I saw there was an automation icon in the track header. I don't have that in my track header no matter how wide and deep I make it. I've looked in header configuration and automation preferences but I don't see it. I'm using 10.2.2.
I worked out a lot of volume automation on a lead vocal but I want to turn that track down (not off) temporarily while I work on other parts of the mix.

You have to hover over the region/track automation button on the header and it will show up

I'm sure it is right in front of my face, but I don't see it. I was looking for the automation icon/button in the track header in order to turn it off and that is what I cannot find. You don't mean the show/hide automation button up at the top do you?

A movie is worth a dozen words. Thanks so much. It is the same on 10.2.2.
