Hi, I've just bought a Prophet 8 module and cant work out how to record automation changes on my midi channel in logic. I guess I have to use the learn mode in logic but not sure how. Also the volume control for the midi channel does nothing. 1 more thing can you not open fx plugins on a midi channel?

    many thanks.

It is a good idea to spend some time with the Logic manual to see how to use "learn" mode and the Controller Assignments dialog. If you could learn the parameter in question to your hardware controller then you could easily use "Latch" or "Touch" Track Based Automation modes to record some automation.
You can not load software plugins on midi channels which belong to environment objects like Standard Instrument, Multi Instrument etc. You can insert software FX plugins into Audio Instruments (Software Instruments) channel strips etc.
