I'm a rank beginner using Logic Pro X 10.2, in the process of going through David Nahmani's book to educate myself. I'm recording voice-only audio tracks and would like to record a song in 7/4. Under Record>Count In I'm given the option of a 7 beat count-in, but is there a way of changing the ruler to conform with a 7 beat measure? I mean, surely Logic can handle non-square tempos, right? Can someone help me with this?

yes, place your ruler to a bar or two before where you want the 7/4 time to begin. Change the time signature to 7/4 in the transport control bar. Thats it.
