I've got a load of cassettes that have been getting dusty for years so I've decided to record them to mp3 for my ipod.

I have no issue setting the equipment up, and have recorded the first few into Logic... the problem is the natural quality of analog audio is quite poor. I wondered if anyone could recommend any post-production techniques/inserts that may help reduce the hissy/fuzzy/crackling sounds and just generally beef up the recordings.
