Logic 9 Sample Editor is very slow

    Hey guys,

I have been editing with WavLab for years and recently converted to Logic Express 9.

Since then I have been trying to get my head around the simplest of all functions: editing.

Either I am overlooking something or the sample editor is incredibly slow. Every time I want to edit something out of my audio file, the program prompts me with a warning window (which I deactivated, but it still shows) and then it takes forever to save the edit.

Apparently, Logic saves the entire file after every edit. It take about 20 seconds on my 13" MacBook Pro with 4GB RAM, depending on file size.

There has to be a better way of editing quickly!

    Please help me with this.

How much free space do you have on your system drive?
