Two Tracks Got Connected?

Two tracks got connected and I don't know how. When I mute the sax track, the trombone track gets muted too. If I solo the sax track, the trombone track gets soloed too and vice versa. How can I undo this? It's happened before and I'm really angry. It's holding me up.
There's gotta be a way to undo this.

Are the sax track and the trombone track sharing the same channel? If so, you might have to create another track so you have a different channel, then move either the sax or trombone recording to this track

It sounds like you're using a multitimbral instrument for those sounds: Mute one, mute them all.

More information about your set up is needed: What plug in are you using? Sax and trombone separate parts within the same plug-in?

Either use a separate plug in per track (easiest), or use a multitimbral/multi-output set up with aux channels.
