In the Environment, shouldn't it say "Quicktime" under the New - Internal menu?

It only offers me "Rewire". Is that normal?

I believe so, if you are running Logic in 64 bit mode... doesn't work with QT (well, at least as far as bouncing audio into a QT movie goes).

Yes it behaves this way, so you can audition say a given SMF but you can not bounce anything. That's why I recommend the Apple DLS MD Software Instrument which is a factory Logic one. I have made a special Logic template some time ago so you can use the DLS MD as multitimbral set as well as I added an small Environment float palette for extra control.
Get the DLS MD template from this LINK and read the description.

Yeap! That's it! No 64 Bit.

So it just put it in 32 bit and voilà.

Someone can use Soundflower to bounce also.
