Logic Pro 9 32-Bit Bridged plugs accessing ram in 64-Bit Mode

HI! i'm awaiting my new macpro and L9 update.......<looking forward to an 8 hour migration session>

and i would like to ask quick question:

**do 32-bit plugins take advantage of the increased RAM access when they are bridged in a 64-bit logic project?**
or is it only true 64-bit plugins that do. (even when there's a combination of both bridged and 64-bit plugs in the same 64-bit logic project)?

(ive got plugins like NI Komplete, Arturia, URS, Sonox, IMPoscar, Ozone, Waves among others)

It also deals with the memory limitations (yes, there are some using 32 bit Audio Units with the 32 bit Audio Unit Bridge) you are asking about

The entire premise of going to 64bit memory addressing (actually, 63bit) is to take advantage of more memory. 32bit gives you 2^32=4,000,000,000 = 4GB (rounded off). So even a 32bit shell inside a 64bit app still has this limitation. If 32bit plugins could somehow magically take advantage of more, then there would be no reason for plugin manufacturers to recode their plugins for 64bit (as Spectrasonics and others have, and others will eventually hopefully).

Every time you add a bit, you double the number. An imaginary 33bit application could therefore access 8GB memory. 63bit memory addressing can access an astronomical amount of memory (922PB)... so much that I doubt we'll hit that wall this century (unless some artificial intelligence breakthrough creates a need for apps that require exabytes of memory).

yeah which is why i thought it was a good time to get involved in the new macs and upgrade to L9 - as it's taken me 5 years for the need to do so, and i feel pretty safe to assume i'll be right for another 5... at least.
