Logic Pro 9 Post ESX Samples?

Hello All!

I've been reading a lot about missing ESX Samples... I too have had this problem.

Bought a new machine and when I migrated all my data, projects, apps, etc, found that most of my orchestral samples magically disappeared and now several projects are in limbo.

I was wondering, would a kind soul with a heart of gold who has a COMPLETE ESX sample library be willing to compress and upload the samples to an FTP or my MobileMe page?

You would be saving my Logic life.

Thanks very much!

Please note that uploading or in any way making available to others any part of the Logic Studio package would very likely be in breach of Apple's EULA. We would not be able to allow any link here in the forum.

@snogger: Why don't you just re-install Logic Studio?

regards

Mark

Or maybe they are there but Logic can't find them, so they need reconnecting.

Are you sure it's the samples and not the exs instruments?

Tip: don't get rid of or format old computers/drives until you've checked everything has transferred.

Well, that's the thing: I recently bought a new CPU and reinstalled all my pro apps, manually migrated data, etc.

I WAS using Logic 8 and have upgraded to Logic 9... Don't know if that makes a difference. Not trying up go around the rules Apple sets up.

I'm sure it's the aif. Samples, not the exs. instruments... For example, I've lost almost ALL my orchestral samples that came with the EXS sampler, which are integral to my projects. Did Logic 9 drop a bunch of stuff that Logic 8 used?

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!!

A total reinstall is an extreme measure, on a Mac.

First, repair permissions with the disk utility.

Determine what instruments are missing samples, click the edit button, that should reveal the sample file name, Do a spotlight search on the file.

If it is not present on your system, you can do a customized logic install of just the sampler content.
