Logic Pro 9 Logic Trouble

Hey guys,

I am new to the site so I wanted to take the opportunity to say hi and get some advice.

1) This should be a simple fix but hopefully someone can help. I just bought an AxiomPro 49 with Hyper control and I got it working but the keys are off by 3 wholes steps. Basically the E note is where the D should be.

2) I have an Imac and I just upgraded to a mac pro and I am in the middle of getting that machine up and running, the problem is I lost the discs for Logic Pro. How can I get it onto that machine easiest?


Any help is much appreciated !!!!

Back up the imac with logic studio onto a external hard drive (firewire) using time machine. If you haven't turn on the mac pro yet. Start it up, go thru the process of put in the info, they ask for, and when you get to the part where they ask if you have any back up files from another computer or a time machine external hard drive. choose one or the other to load your files onto the mac pro. If you already have the mac pro up and running, go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Migration Assistant and when you get to the part where they ask if you have any back up files from another computer or a time machine external hard drive. choose one or the other to load your files onto the mac pro.

IF you already started your machine do this:

1) Copy Logic Pro onto your new computer, and place it in the App folder.
2) There are 2 places where there are going to be "Logic folders: in your main Library, Application support Logic, and then the same path in your main user folder. Those both need to be compiled to the exact same locations on your new mac HD.
3) Boot Logic and give it it's serial number to authorize it.
4) Under the main Logic menu select the "Download additional content" for the sound libs.

That should do it.

So if I have the discs to install logic (I think I have found them all) should I just do a clean install and then proceed to install my Komplete 6 and omnisphere on there as well. I have problems with Komplete 6 and I was hoping to install it fresh on my new comp. What kind of issues may I run into with licensing etc?

A clean install is not necessary but often advisable with a new computer, if only to get rid of various bits of guff that accumulate over the years.

If you are having problems with the previous system I'd definitely do a fresh install, it takes longer but it really helps with trouble shooting. Test each bit of software as you go along with the install.

I would also take the opportunity to update all software as well.

Licensing should all be fine. NI will let you reauthorize from the service center and Apple is just a serial. Omnisphere can also be reauthorized without much effort, as long as you have all your serial numbers.
