Logic Pro (X) Re-using template information

Mixing a 16 song record, and I have an approved mix for the first song. Now, for speed and continuity, I'd like to re-use the settings wherever possible (as a starting point) for anything that's common to all 16 songs: drums, bass, and some of the guitars, as well as the lead vocals. Given that the drums themselves are full of busses, parallel compression, internal routing etc arriving at one drum bus, and the vocals are also bused, with parallel comp etc etc (somewhat complicated routing, inspired by Andrew Scheps), how can I bring those settings into each remaining song, without wiping the rough but ok mix I have? Thanks!!

It is substantially easier to import content (i.e. audio) into one project than to transfer routings to another.

Thus you should
- save the mixed project
- go into Project Audio and clear (not delete from disk!) All audio files there
- in the Main window, delete any MIDI Regions and all automation, and also any tempo events
- save as Template

Now, to mix the second song:
- create a New Project from the Template you just saved
- with Selective Track Import, navigate to the unmixed song 2, only check Content on the audio and MIDI tracks, and the Tempo Track
- now click on an imported track's Track Header to select all Regions on that track, the move them to the matchimg track of the Template. Adding the Shift key while moving makes sure everything stays in sync.
- repeat for all tracks, then delete the now empty source tracks
- save as Song 2 Mix
