Logic Pro X Logic Pro Certification

Apple has stopped their certification program, so you have to prove your credibility by other means. But then, I have talked to some guys that had passed the test and their lack of knowledge of creating music in general and using Logic in particular was appalling, while some others that shined...

Logic Pro X How to play highlighted audio?

You use "S" for Solo Region(s)/Selection/Marquee followed by the key command "Play From Selection", like this: To play back the range exactly, try toggling Preferences>Audio>General>Playback Preroll

Logic Pro X How to play highlighted audio?

That's the right was. You could also use the Pointer to drag-select several entire Regions. What would you want different and why?

Logic Pro X Locking Sounds from External Instrument Tracks?

Absolutely. Driving around in a 1933 Bugatti is certainly 'possible' and much fun for sure, while going across the country with three kids in the back in the rain and snow is clearly not 'convenient'.

Logic Pro X Locking Sounds from External Instrument Tracks?

You need to set up an audio track and record the first part to that, then repeat this for all other parts. I did warn you a couple days ago that this workflow is not a convenient one.

Legacy Apps Old Logic Environment demo that played 'Popcorn'

If someone has ported that through the Logic versions, then yes, this might still work. But Logic's file format has changed several times in the past 30 years, so you would not be able to open the original project, or song as it was called back then, on your current Logic version.

Legacy Apps Old Logic Environment demo that played 'Popcorn'

I have to admit that I have fond memories of it, if just for shits and giggles. That must have been Logic 1.something, around 1993. The author was Kurt Hofmann.

Logic Pro 9 I want separate volume controls for hi-hat, snare when monitoring as I record digital drums. Any suggestions?

What if you just clicked on the instrument and changed its Gain ?

Logic Pro X Arpeggiator with Vintage Synth - Newbie Question

Yes. If you have started music on the computer with a DAW of the last 10-15 years, you will find working with an old external synth incredibly complicated, cumbersome, inelegant, limiting and slow.

Logic Pro X Jitter & Lag Using Logic Pro X for Livestream Mix

Basic troubleshooting rule: simplify as much as possible unless you want to keep guessing. If you can make your routing and number of channels work without any plugins, then good, that's a very solid starting point, and it proves that indeed the plugins were the cause of the problem. Now you...

Logic Pro X Jitter & Lag Using Logic Pro X for Livestream Mix

What you describe is hinting at short periods of processor overload, which you might not even see on the performance meter, yet it is enough to accumulate over a long period of time. Mixing 50 channels, with plugins, in 'real'time is taxing on any system, even just the attempt to do this on an...

Logic Pro X Send Project to another producer (including UA & Vienna strings sounds)

Yes, you can select what should happen to the original MIDI track when doing a BIP, either Leave, Mute or Delete, with Mute being the proper choice.

Logic Pro X Send Project to another producer (including UA & Vienna strings sounds)

The thing is that a neat, tidy and lean project would be nice to transfer and certainly desirable to receive at your end. However, this may not be true for the sender. There might be muted Take Folders with hitherto unexplored options for the noseflute solo, there might be tracks of ukulele...

Logic Pro X Send Project to another producer (including UA & Vienna strings sounds)

If they look up "yamaha#02" (which is not a Bounce In Place file, else it's file name would end in '.bip') in the Project Audio window, they'd be able to see the actual path to the file location on their computer. My guess is that, for whatever reason, it is not inside the folder/project that...

Logic Pro X Maxing out CPU with summing template

While I can't offer a workaround, you should be able to do this without problems. Merely routing audio to ins and outs takes pretty much no CPU whatsoever, even less so on a new machine, and you should be able to do it at 64 or even less buffer size. Here is the Performance Meter of Logic Pro X...

Logic Pro X Newb Template Question!

You can move finished projects off a drive to kepp better overviews over current, unfinished projects, or you can leave them all in once place until you get near 1/5 or 1/4 of free space ion the drive, which is when you should make room. Much more important is to have a backup drive and...
