Logic Pro X 1. Bulk export MIDI tracks as separate MIDI files. 2. Bulk move split MIDI regions to separate tracks.

Hi. I feel sure there are simple solutions to these questions, but I can't track them down online or in LPX's menus.

1. I often want to export a batch of MIDI tracks from a particular LPX project as separate MIDI files. So far, I've only found the option of exporting them into a single MIDI file (in either 0 or 1 format). Any ideas if this is possible?

2. I also frequently want to split a single MIDI track up into multiple regions, and then move each region onto its own MIDI track. Again, I can't find a menu option to do this in one go, so I end up dragging the regions one at a time onto separate tracks. Any suggestions?

Many thanks for any tips - and sorry if these are really basic questions!

Hello,
Regarding Q2, batch export for MIDI doesn't exist in Logic. Your options are:
- Edit>Move to Focused Track or
- Track>Other>New Track for Selected Regions
Use of key commands will speed up the process.

Thanks for these tips. They will definitely speed up my workflow quite a bit.

Do you know of any other DAWs that allow you to batch-export MIDI tracks as separate files?
