Logic Pro A Different Low Latency Question

Hi
I don't use Low Latency Mode much because I fear that I don't understand it. From what I understand it's supposed to bypass plugins that induces latency (and you can set your tolerance in preferences).
However if I put an Adaptive Lim on an aux and routes something through it (like klopfgeist routed to bus 1 which is again routed to an aux which is routed to an output) and then press Low Latency nothing happens. Certain sends get yellow but the Adaptive Limiter is still in function in spite of it's very noticeable latency inducing effect.
Why is that.....

It's not a huge issue because I can of course just manually bypass the plugins on the buses (and set the compensation to audio and instruments) but I simply don't understand how Low Latency Mode works when it doesn't work in the example above.

All the Best

FWIW, I've always found it a drag that the Ad Limiter, MultiPressor, and Linear Phase EQ don't seem to interact with latency compensation. IOW, there doesn't seem to be any way to use them without introducing latency. It's a bit of a drag that it hasn't been corrected after all these years.

Seconded....
Under which conditions do "Low Latency" work. Ideally I would have thought that it should bypass everything that affects the timing when recording with the audio + inst compensation setting on (which would be the busses and auxes).

Wouldn't that be because they are assumed to be used on a the final bus of a mix? Any delay would affect the entire signal flow, so there would be no need for these plugins to report latency because there is nothing to fix.

To use on a track channel, you could follow it with a plugin that does nothing but report latency. I've use AUDelay for this to compensate for UAD plugins that don't report latency, although I can't recall if it works in 64 bit hosts.

Yes, thats' the conventional wisdom. But in this day and age it would be useful to be able to use, at least the multi band compressor, freely anywhere in the signal flow.

I haven't tried AU Delay in 64 bit, so am not certain if it works reliably. Even if it does though, it's a drag to have to do this for native plug-ins.
