About to buy an external hard disk for LP9 need advice

I am torn between a LaCie FW800 or OWC elite al pro.
Or, does any body have any suggestion?
I want to be as portable as possible.
I have an intel 2.4GHZ MBP.

How does recording to Gigabit ethernet drive work?
There are some NAS units that has gigabit ethernet connection.

Both are ok. Get the one that is most silent.
