Im pretty sure there must be a setting for this.
I record a part on a midi layer... fix quantise whatever in the piano roll, THEN I want to add some bits, maybe a little higher harmony part.
immediatly I hit R, the notes from the first part dissapear from the piano oll.. and must ply by ear alone... not easy when my music is pretty abstract and ambient. I NED TOO SEE the previous part as I play.. at least to get occasional visual cues.
So after Im done, I KNOW that I can highlight both parts, and select MERGE. but is there a way of my new notes just "going into" the first part? (Psst just like in Reason??)
