I have Logic 9 last version on El Capitan. Works great with Metric Halo ULN 8 interface. I also have an Xtouch control surface and it works but seems glitchy at times. I am trying to see if someone uses the x touch or MCU with Logic 9 to see if maybe my unit is faulty.
I have the x-touch and logic 10.4. on a macbook running Sierra. Mine seems glitchy as well but I haven't owned it long enough to know whether it's user just error. The faders are very responsive. The buttons and controls are as well.
I have been using my X-Touch with Logic Pro X (and Studio One and MixBus) for more than a year. It works great. Every once in a while I have to power cycle the X-Touch to make it respond to Logic commands.
By "glitchy" i mean, faders move on their own, Select, Mute and Solo buttons won't work when i press them. When i press "Inst" or "plug-in" the inserted item will not open on screen. My "Marker" and "Nudge" buttons are perpetually lit and will not go off when I press them. Currently the blue button navigation button will not disengage.
Yeah, glitchy. I usually try turning off the X-Touch, quitting Logic, then turning on X-Touch , firing up Logic, and seeing how it behaves.
These days I don't have much problem, just power cycle the X-Touch when I start my day, fire up Logic, good to go
