Apple closes Pro-apps department ???

Logician
Is it true that Apple has sacked developers and closed the Pro-apps department ( because of the massive problems keeping FCP top of the game, and failing)?

that Jobs' illness has allowed the suits to go for the iPad, iPhone markets and drop the expensive pro division that only accounts for 5% of apple's business?

that the next desktop mac, if it arrives, won't be an upgrade for the existing stable or even compatible with existing pro use - it'll be something else?

I hope the above is all ********, then I can tell my guru to get another seer 🙂

But if it isn't, what's the future of Logic Pro?

Where do people even come up with crap like this?

Orren

(I should probably add, just to be clear, it's all totally untrue)

THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING! NO REALLY, this time it's really happening....

I can assure you that Apple would sell Logic to another developer than scrap it IF anything like this ever did happen. And with all the computers they sell because of Garageband and Logic Pro/Express I doubt it... heck, they even made Garageband for the ipad. It aint going no where.

I'd be curious to know the source, too.

One fallacy I can easily point out, however, is about the sales figures. Apple doesn't maintain and sell pro apps for the software profit margin. They sell pro apps because those pro apps also sell new hardware. The iTunes Music Store barely broke even at first, but it sold tons of iPods because of the complete solution it created.

And no one at Apple wears suits. That's how you recognize visitors from other companies. 🙂

Well, now that he's less in the mainstream with retiring form the CEO position, a new era begins. Hopefully Logic will be right up there with the iPad.........
