Logic Pro 9 Apple Loops and Construction Kits

Hi All,
I find Apple Loops unworkable when I need to use a construction kit of loops. The Loop Browser doesn't seem to be able to retain the suite folder hierarchy unless I import them one at a time. I generally use ACID versions of the collections when I need to use a construction kit. It's too bad.

Has any one else encountered this frustration?

just wondering,
Judith

Maybe the Apple Loop version of the construction kit you are using is badly produced? I mean there has to be something in the name, or tagging, that will display all loops of the particular construction kit if typed into the Loop Browser's search field. The Apple Loop producer should see to that, but maybe someone forgot or didn't know?

Hi Per,
Yeah, it's a naming issue. Some of the collections work but not seeing the folder hierarchy makes it less than intuitive for certain collections. Oh well... I have ACID versions of most of my libraries.
cheers,
Judith

A nice aspect of Apple Loop colletions is if the producer has bothered to offer them as green loops so you can drop them on instrument tracks to open them up, tweak details and learn from the plugin effect chain used.

Judith, type in the common part of the name in the search field and it should return a search result to you with all the loops that share that name in common. Even if the construction kits aren't tagged by the creator, surely there is a common descriptor in the name between all the ones belonging to the same kit.

And even if the common name returns a search result with a few different sets of loops, surely the list will be short enough to ascertain the ones belonging to the current kit you are working with.

Then when you're done, just clear the search field to show all loops again.
