I liked them. Probably depends on how you like to learn. The first one starts you from scratch as if you've never used logic before.

Yes and Yes... been a logic guy since V1 Notator for the Mac, and I learned a ton from these books. Good buy's in my opinion, and I tell all my clients who use Logic to purchase them.

And yes, another endorsement here for the Apple Logic Pro training books. I've used the first one myself and it is great; and I have recommended it to several of my Logic tech support clients. And they all love it as well.
