Logic Pro X Arpeggiator with Vintage Synth - Newbie Question

New Member
I just started with Logic Pro X, built in (and Plug-in) VSTs and an Arturia Essentials controller less than a year ago. I'm hoping to purchase my first vintage, analog synth very soon - a Roland Alpha Juno2 and wondering how much I can integrate it into Logic Pro X. Rather than simply recording the synths sounds as Instrument tracks, Might I be able to play the amazing Logic Arpeggiator with it? Will Logic need to send MIDI back OUT to the analog synth and then record back?

If you have started music on the computer with a DAW of the last 10-15 years, you will find working with an old external synth incredibly complicated, cumbersome, inelegant, limiting and slow.
