Logic Pro 9 AU plugins not available on AUX Channel

orcasound

Logician
I notice that some or should I say several of my 3rd party AU plugins do not show in the list of available AU plugins when assigning an insert FX on an AUX channel. - When I choose a plugin to insert on a regular track - they are there.
For example - IK Multimedia's CSR shows in the AU plug in list - if I am assigning it as an insert on the gtr track. - But if I bus that gtr track out to an AUX - the CSR is no longer an option.

any ideas -

thanks

???
All show up here on the Aux channel insert same as they do on the audio or instrument channel strips.

What version OSX? Logic? Mac?

Are you running the latest versions of the plug-ins?
Maybe you need to repair permissions or run Cocktail or whatever.

Strange.

I assigned the bus first from my snare track- which was mono.
So it looks like a mono aux was assigned.
When I changed the aux to stereo - the remaining AUs showed up on the list.
so i assume that CSR is stereo only.
It still doesn't mKe sense though
I'm brainstorming logic trying to move from DP.. So I am stll learning the behaviour as compared to dp/

Good thing you figured it out.

Logic plug-ins and 3rd party plug-ins in Logic offer a Mono version or a Mono and a Mono->Stereo version of the plug-in if the channel strip or Aux is mono or offer a stereo version accordingly. The plug-ins adapt to the channel strip which is very cool. So it's kinda strange that CSR didn't offer an option.

I started using DP as of v4.5 but feel more at home with Logic. Once you get the hang of how things work in Logic I think you're really gonna like it.
