Logic Pro 9 Audio is coming in, but I can't hear it.

Over the past several weeks, in an attempt to run Symphonic Choirs (SC) in standalone, I have been experimenting with various setups. I have created more IAC busses to route MIDI from Logic to SC, and installed Soundflower to route audio from SC to Logic. I have had some success with this. However,...

Now, when I try to record a bass part onto an audio track (using an Mbox 2 Pro as my interface), I can see the incoming audio signal register on the Bass channel strip, but there is no signal in the Stereo Out channel strip. Hence, I cannot hear the audio while I am recording. I can still record the audio, and I can hear the recorded part play back. I just can't hear anything while recording. So it seems that audio is getting into Logic, but is not making it to the Stereo Out channel. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Maybe try creating an aggregate device in the audio midi setup that includes both Soundflower and the Mbox; and then use that as your core audio driver in Logic.

I discovered that by checking "Software Monitoring" under Preferences>Audio>Devices, I can hear the incoming audio and see it on the Stereo Out strip. So the problem is solved.

As a matter of interest, I have made an aggregate device in the AMS, and it has allowed me to get much better performance by running SC standalone, instead of as a plug-in. I thought that maybe all that messing around with aggregate devices and ins & outs, I messed something up. Glad to see it was just a matter of checking a preference.
