1st post.
ive been away from logic a number of years and decided to go back to it, but as you can imagine im a bit rusty, so any kind forum people out there willing to help me with this little problem would be greatly appreciated.

i lay out a lot of my audio stabs with no quantise to make say a 1 bar pattern, my only problem then is i want to make that bar a solid merged piece of audio so its easier to then drag the loop or to make copies. ive tried all teh merge n glue tools but can never make it to fill the complete 1 or 2 bars.

help much appreciated

no....

I suppose you could use the bounce function instead... make the cycle length 1 bar long, solo the drums you want, and bounce, then import.

All that said, the first way I suggested if very fast, and no problem.

i tried the bounce regions because it has a nice function to turn of all the plugins, but it just bounced the audio and didn't add any thing at the start or the end of the file to make is a complete bar 🙁 i keep researching, thanks for your suggestions

Because if i have stuff at the start of the next bar then i cant make it longer because of an overlap. During my break from logic i was working in ableton, and there you just highlight the length you want and choose apple j and the whole selection gets joined together as a separate wave

I am not sure what you mean about the overlap...

Just do this:

1) Make your 1 bar loop, but be sure to add a bit of extra data so it's just over 1 bar long, for example: my beat is: kik, sn, kik, sn this is 1 bar long. But when I try and glue it's not long enough.

So, I add a kick to the start of the second bar, and glue. not I have a loop that is 1.25 bars long. Get your scissor tool, and cut the end off at the beginning of the second bar, and delete the extra audio you just cut off.

Now you have a 1 bar loop.

Get it?

this was the same process I said the first reply I sent

Can't you just set your cycle length to one complete bar and then bounce?

Locators are your friend. Set your locators to two bars, enable cycle, solo the track, hit bounce on the output channel strip.
