Logic Studio apps Automatic Patch Changes

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone knows how when using a patch with the playback plug-in, and when it finishes it will move automatically onto the next patch.

What I'm trying to achieve is put about 3 to 4 songs (patches) to play consecutively one after the other.

Thanks in advance
Kris

Yes this is possible, although not with Mainstage alone.

My method:

In Mainstage detect an audio stream via an Audo-to-Midi plugin, when audio goes quiet send MIDI to MidiPipe, send a CC back to Mainstage. The CC triggers an onscreen button that switches the Patch.

You need an Audio-to-MIDI plugin for $80
and you need MidiPipe (freeware).

If you have the Bidule plugin you may be able to do it directly, without MidiPipe. Haven't tried this yet.

If you are interested I can tell you how it works.

Thanks Peter

That certainly looks like exactly what I'm after but you would think it would be able to be done within Mainstage wouldn't you?

Thanks again

I was looking into automatic patch changes too.
I'm using a Playback plugin at set level. This is the background track for one song. While it plays on set level, I can switch patches and the background track just plays on.
What would really be great is if you could use the markers in a background track to trigger patch changes.
I've already sent this wish to the MS feedback.
