Logic Pro 8 automation

I adjusted the volume with the automation and then i clipped a part of my region and moved it and the automation would move with it, then i clicked something so that it wouldnt move with it anymore. How can i get the automation to move with my edits once again?

If you're talking track automation (I assume you are) go to main menu Options>Track Automation>Track Automation Settings, first pop-up menu.
