Battery 3

I'm fairly new to computer based recording (until recently I used a BR 900), so any advise would be welcomed.

I have Battery 3 and load the samples into Ultrabeat. I viewed a YouTube video from SFLogicNinja on using the hyper editor for writing drum beats. I can do this with the EXS24 kits, but I don't understand how to load Battery's kits into the EXS24.

Thanks

you don't need EXS24, Battery is its own sample player - just put it in the Audio Instrument slot and bring it into your Arrange page.

Thanks for the reply.

Only....Battery doesn't appear in the list. I just down loaded a free Kontact player that does show up, but Battery never has. Both have folders that are on my Applications list.

Should I try to move Battery to a different folder?

Thanks,

Al

hmm ... do you know how to run AUManager? I'm away for the next week and probably haven';t time to fire up my Logic to tell you exactly how to find it.
This will tell you if you have the right plugin installed and if logic has verified it - whether or not Logic can load it.

Thanks:thmbup:

I looked up AU Manager in the Help and it brought up file that showed Battery was not validated. A double click later, and Battery is up and running in Logic.

Again, many thanks,

Al

Most Native Instruments plugs have generic parameter numbers until you map them to a device. If you map a parameter to a device, the name of the mapped parameter shows up in this list along with the assignment number.I haven't checked Battery 3,but that's how it's done with Kontakt.Thanks.
