BIAS, Inc. has ceased operations. We would like to thank all the BIAS customers and friends for the opportunity to have served the audio community for over 16 amazing years.

The BIAS Authorization Manager Server is functioning for authorizing and de-authorizing BIAS products at this time.

kind regards

Mark

Has Apple bought Bias too? Are we looking at the beginning of rather massive Logic-update?

I' m kind of semi kidding here...🙂

I'm so glad I haven't spent $ on Peak the past few years but am sad to see them go. I'll keep using my older version until I can't and move on to something else eventually. Suggestions?

I bought the upgrade from 4.0 to 7.0 just a few weeks ago :-( thinking it would be a safe bet if Apple should discontinue Soundtrack Pro/Waveburner in the future.

Bummer. Love Peak, been trying to figure out an app that would be as good.

Personally, I'm a big fan of DSP Quattro. The latest update to DSP Quattro 4 has been a huge one, adding lots of goodies. And it's affordable, too.

Audiofile Engineering's Wave Editor is also very good, in that it's very "Mac like" and the easiest to use of all of them, I feel: http://www.audiofile-engineering.com/waveeditor/

Feature for feature, I think that Steinberg's WaveLab 7, however, might be the leader. It's also the most expensive.

My guess is that we'd have seen that appear in some rumor sites, some list of government due diligence reports, etc. I think they just went out of business.

Audio Editors are a very small market.

BTW, DSP Quattro has a special this month for BIAS users to cross grade for only $45. I'd jump on this folks, it's great software!

(no I don't work for them, I just use it)

That's a good deal. I downloaded the demo and am debating if I should grab it or not as Peak is still working fine for what I use it for. It might be more if an insurance policy at this point but not a bad idea.
