Hi there, thanks in advance for your help
I am trying to help a friend be able to record his for-hire bass playing. I am a cubase engineer and not knoledgeable in Cubase but because he is on a Mac and Logc was cheaper than Cubase, I bought him the latest version of Logic two weeks ago. He was having a very hard time tracking. When I came over to review, the audio could be heard exactly two beats later than where the wave form was positioned. The wave forms line up at start of measures per temp/BPM etc. But when you record or play back, two beats go by before you hear the audio. And for some reason the bass tracks he recorded while wrestling with this problem start two beats later - the wave forms are there, two beats later, and also with this lag, even at 64 frames. This song was in waltz time, and the Logic Click track thus for same strange reason was starting to beats later, thus his accent was heard on beat 3, even though that accent should have been on the downbeat of each measure. And it's totally bizarre that it was two beats later, and on the nose. What could be causing this problem and how would we fix it. Is it a video card problem, some setting, we are mystified.
