Logic Pro Bounce Track/Region to Mono

Hi,
I'm bouncing a mono track or regions and am ending up with an interleaved (or split) stereo file. I've ensure I have:
unchecked Include Volume/Pan Automation, and
checked Bypass Effects Plug-Ins.

Still no luck. What am I missing?

Be sure to change the stereo output track (usually Output channel 1-2) to mono.
