I thought I would share this with those of us who have a problem finding decent brush samples: I bought a set of Apple loops from Big Fish Audio called Brush Artistry. I got them on Black Friday - half price. Maybe they still are.
I discovered that importing loops into Logic is easy - drag and drop them into the loop browser - you get the option to import them or to run the folder from its current location (in my case Desktop). This is perfect as I didn't want to add 3GB to Logic when I use brushes so occasionally. You still have all the indexing available in the browser - perfect!
I don't slice the wav's - I just split the regions and mute the bits I don't want.
Here's my first effort at using them - and incidentally of using my two new horns libraries - Session Horns and Mojo Horns.
