Logic Pro 8 Bug? corrupted bounce!

This project contains the following tracks:

1. No output
2. No output
3. audio vocal ( stereo, 2 plugins muted) aka Audio Track 1.
4. audio instrument( Ivory )
5. Click ( Klopfgeist)

It's just piano and voice, right?

It sounds fine on playback all the way through.

When I bounce, the resulting MP3 file has a drop out in Audio track of about 1 sec near the end. The volume of the voice simply falls away, leaving the piano. Then it returns.

Why would the song bounce differently to playback?

Why the drop out?

I checked for any hidden automation, and there wasn't any.
There is no Melodyne in there.

When I moved the audio region to audio track 2, it bounced perfectly.

I am very worried as this put me and my student about 60 minutes behind schedule, and I expect it to happen again unless I can get a handle on it.

Any ideas?

I don't know but I do know that when this crap happens and I don't want to spend the time tinkering around trying to fix it I reach for my trusty old friend "audiohijack pro"!

A few lame thoughts - no real good ideas...

Terminology question: by muted plug-ins do you mean bypassed?

Did you try the bounce in real time? Same problem?

Possible corrupt project - try moving files to new project?
