Logic Pro Bug in Piano Roll - Won't Show Active MIDI Region

My first day with Logic Pro X and already I think I have been hit by one of Logic X's infamous bugs. I was working fine on my first project and then all of a sudden the piano roll would no longer update the active MIDI region. When I select a new MIDI region in the arranger by double clicking, the region appears in the piano roll but the actual MIDI notes (and colour) refuse to update. Even if I delete the MIDI notes and try selecting a new region, the old sequence of notes reappears. Nothing I do seems to return my project to normal behaviour.

Can anyone help?
