Bug - Playhead jumps to random place in song

Bug - Playhead jumps to random place in song when I use the record/record repeat function. The Astrix key (*). the playhead sometimes jumps to a random place when using this function.

Anyone have a fix or workaround?

I am running 10.4.11, Dual 2 Ghz Power PC G5, 11 GB DDR2 SDRAM. Logic is 8.0.2. Running a Digi 003 through coreaudio. M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. 3rd party plugins include Waves diamond bundle (newest Version) Kompakt 2(newest), Synthogy Ivory, Stylus RMX.
 
You are awfully quick to pronounce things as "bugs" that may be system specific.

A bug is something that happens on many users rigs. Not everything that goes wrong with any software on your rig is necessarily a bug.
