Logic Pro Can a screen set lock horizontal position of mixer?

Hi,

Very old user of Logic - finally moving to Logic Pro X (10.3.1) from Logic 9.

In 9, I could always see my mixer scrolled to the precise position I desired after locking the screen set. Now, in 10.3.1, whenever I return to that screen set, my mixer view resets to a different horizontal position altogether.

Is there a setting or fix to this? I flip back and forth between screens often, and it's a real pain to have to scroll to the same place I wanted to be each time when using the mixer.

Any advice appreciated -

Alan

One thing you can do is to select a track before switching screensets. The mixer view will always show the selected track in any screenset locked or unlocked.

The mixer track filters are saved with screensets which may narrow down the search by track type.
The mixer View menu>Scroll to may also help. Key commands can be assigned to the track type.

Hi CSeye,

Thanks for you quick response! I was aware of the mixer track filters, but the specific track I wanted positioned on the left of the screen is 'between' categories, so I would still have to scroll each time I jump back to that screen set. The locked mixer position within a screen set was a feature of Logic going back many versions, I'm puzzled why they abandoned it, especially since they claim to have retained all the 'pro' features in the current version.

I'll try selecting a block of all the tracks that should display, and see if those are the same ones that show up again, but that's also extra effort. Maybe displaying the mixer in a separate window will help, I haven't tried that yet.
