I have a vocal that I performed Flex Pitch on. I almost always get glitches somewhere and this region is no exception. So I make a repair track and want to drag in the same region and NOT use Flex for the part where there is a glitch. I will use Volume Automation to dip the volume on the main track and use the repair track for this one place. I have done this before, however today, I cannot seem to edge edit it. The workaround would be to use automation and make a mirror of the automation on the main vocal, but I want to know if this is normal behavior. Does this mean I cannot use the same region in different places with different lengths?
This is what it looks like before I drag the edge:
When I try to drag the edge, I get a message saying "This region contains inactive flex markers, which will be deleted if you perform the edit. Are you sure you want to edit the region?" I choose Edit and I get this:
Or this depending how far I pull the edge:
And the really weird thing is that sometimes I play it and there isn't a glitch. There is a little gap in the pitch segment that usually makes the glitch. Either my computer doesn't have enough umph (I doubt that), I just don't get FlexPitch, or maybe FlexPitch is not ready for prime time.
