Can't hear condenser mic when recording

I've posted this in the Logic Pro x forum also.

When recording an audio track using my sE x1 condenser microphone I can't hear. The input selected is correct (using a Scarlett 8i6), the phantom power is on and the sound is visibly registering in the audio track. When I play back the recording I can hear it fine, just not while actually recording. When I plug in my dynamic mic into the same input I can hear fine while recording. I'm sure it's a simple solution, what's going on?

I just answered my own question. I had the monitor off on the track. I knew it would be a simple answer! Sorry for being a nuff

I cant hear the song when I play back eventhough could see recorded notes in the track.
