Logic Pro 9 Choosing Same Take for Multiple Tracks

For instance. I have 8 tracks. I do 4 takes on all 8 tracks.

How can I change the take on all 8 tracks simultaneously?

I read somewhere to group the tracks. I tried all 8 tracks to group 1. Then went to track 1 and changed the take from take 1 to take 2. None of the other tracks changed. So I had to change each track individually.

In the group settings panel tick the box for phase-locked audio for the required group and see if this works.
