Logic Pro 9 Clearing sample memory

When I use plugins like BFD2 drums and decide to make a bounce I often hear a little tick or drum sound at the beginning of the resulting file. When I play Logic in a blank part with no midi or audio it is as if the sample memory is emptied, and the bounce is clean. Apparently Logic wants to finish playing back the whole sample, even when paused during playing. I can live with it, but if anyone knows how to clear the memory right away after stopping Logic I would be grateful.
