Logic Pro Clicks Advice on Audio settings Big Six 96khz, MBP, M3MAX, 128 Buffer In Logic

I have finally got my home recording set up in some semblance of order but have noticed I am getting clicks when I record audio.
I have attached a screen shot to show current audio settings at 96khz. As you can see there are hardly any tracks and no plug ins (ouch)
Obviously I can increase the buffer (which I will do and feel is the only solution) that said 128 really works for me and I thought the M3 MAX would be able to handle this. Any advice from anybody who has been here welcome.
Im using a SSL Big Six, MBP M3 MAX (Nov 2023) Sonoma 14.8.1, Logic Pro 11.2.2

Just for information, I bumped the buffer up to 512 and still getting the occasional random click so I am looking elsewhere as I don't think it has anything to do with Logic Pro or MBP.
