Logic Pro control Surfaces

To make my A-800PRO working in Logic, I always have to re-enter the menu "Control Surfaces->Preferences-> MiDI Controllers tab", and tick the box "A800 PRO". However, Logic doesn't seem to save this preference. so I have to restart Logic, and go through this procedure over and over again. When checking the "com.apple.logic.pro.cs" in my user library folder, this file isn't being updated either. I don't know any way to force Logic to update this settings file.

Maybe the .cs file is damaged.
You can delete it or move it out of the folder, Logic creates a new file automatically.
(You will have to redo custom settings if you have some.)

Still the same.
in the preferences folder there is after restarting not the .cs file.
I have the .cs file stored on the desktop in a public folder.

I am pretty sure this will not work unless you have some alias or symlink to this file.

Suggestion:
  1. Quit Logic.
  2. Delete all com.apple.logic.pro.cs files and/or all their aliases and/or symlinks from your disk.
  3. Start Logic, go to "Logic Pro X > Preferences > Advanced Tools", activate them if they aren't.
  4. Make a couple of Controller assignments, check them in the Controller Assingments panel, Expert Mode.
  5. Quit Logic (no need do save a project).
  6. Open Logic and the Controller Assignments, your assignments should still be here. If yes, you have a new com.apple.logic.pro.cs file, because this is the only place where assignments are stored.
  7. If it does not work, Logic has probably a problem writing to the Preferences folder.
