Logic Pro "Copy MIDI Events" not working most of the time.

I'm having weird issues with Edit / Copy MIDI Events.
Sometimes it works OK.
Sometimes it adds 3 beats to every in/out point.
Sometimes it won't copy, replace, move . . . nothing.
Having the same issues with the latest 10.6.2 and an older 10.4.2 (on another MAC Pro).
I really need and use this function A LOT and have no idea why it's so buggy. Checked all my Prefs and nothing seems to be even related.
Any ideas?

Such issue can be caused if you switched your computer keyboard to a non English layout for example, and you use Copy, Paste, Cut keycommands in Logic.

Thanks for your reply, but my keyboard is setup for English and I use my own custom key commands. However, the issue I'm talking about is activated by a pull-down menu "Copy MIDI Events"- with several options for copying, moving, etc.
