Logic Pro Copying/Moving Regions between Take Folders

Hello -

Is there a way to copy and/or move regions between different take folders?

(For example, if I have a different take folder for each vocal chorus, but I would like to copy one line of one take from Chorus 1 to Chorus 2)

I know that one can cut up the entire take folder and just copy/move that newly created smaller take folder, but that loses flexibility: I still want to retain the option of all the other existing takes in the target take folder. I may wish to go back to the originally live take in the target take folder, or even comp bits and pieces of that with the newly moved/copied region. Etc.

Another tedious manual way: Expand both Take Folders to new tracks, move the bits around between them as desired, pack into new Take Folders. Problem: this approach loses any Take Folder comps, which then have to be manually re-created.

Any advice appreciated.

Use Track Alternatives.
Duplicate, then rename.
Rename A as original, B as take 2 or whatever works.
You have to click the title in the region header to select, copy, then place the playhead at the beginning of chorus 2 in alternative B-take 2, click the title of a region you want to overwrite, yes, Sophie's Choice, then paste.
Make as many track alternatives as you need, the original takes in alternative A are intact.

Thank you for the suggestion. If I understand you correctly, this creates 2 completely separate take folders, one in each Track Alternative. However, I want to keep a single take folder, but just add a region to it from a different take folder in a different part of the project. I also do not wish to overwrite any of the existing regions in the folder. Is this impossible?
