Logic Pro 9 CURSOR TOOL ISSUES

Hello All,

Recent problem. I run Logic 9 on Mavericks. When I have the pointer tool selected, as soon as I enter the arrange window, it changes to the Text Tool. Sometimes when I click in the window, I get the pointer back, but other times it stays as text tool. However, it still behaves as a pointer tool, even when it looks like a text tool. Sometimes, other random tools appear, but do not perform the task they are intended for.

Please help?

I occasionally get this behaviour too. Specific tools, or even the hot spots with the pointer tool, takes on the graphic appearance of another, but performs the expected tool's function anyway. I attribute it to a graphics glitch in logic somewhere. Just redraw the screen set and it should be fine.

Thanks for that. Not sure how to 'redraw the screen set' Eli?

Just press the screen set number of the screen set you are currently in. If you are in screen set 1, press 1. If you are in screen set 2, press 2, etc.

Oh OK, sussed that now thanks.

I have now noticed that it only seems to happen when the 'media' window is open - when I move the cursor to the left of this, the pointer changes.?????
